Begin with what you can do
Re-Logic introduces Terraria through four activities: digging, fighting, exploring and building. That description leads with actions rather than a single destination. Even before considering the details, it offers several possible reasons to care about the world in front of you.
The same place, different intentions
A builder might look at an empty space and see a possibility. An explorer might see a direction to follow. Those are different readings of the same environment, and neither needs to cancel the other. Ask whether the attraction of an open-ended world is the number of available activities or the freedom to change your intention. More options are not automatically more meaningful if none connects with what you want to do.
Choose a verb for the evening
Try completing the sentence: tonight I would like to build, explore or understand something. A small intention can be more useful than a plan to see everything. It also gives you permission to reconsider what you want next time.
